Below, you’ll find answers to some of the questions you may have about our online application process.

Eligibility

Yes. This information is available on the Apply For Funding page of our website, under ‘Am I Eligible?’. Before submitting a request, we encourage you to read this information to determine whether your proposal is aligned with our guidelines. If you believe that it is, we invite you to make an application.

The online application process will not jeopardize any partnerships between your organization and Honda Canada. Any future proposals should be submitted through our online application.

Applying

To apply, you will need an email address so we can keep you informed of the status of your application. There are numerous free online email providers that you can use, such as www.yahoo.com www.hotmail.com or www.gmail.com

Yes. Applying takes 30 to 45 minutes. For this small investment of time, the information provided will allow us to assess your application. Once you have completed the application, you can print a copy for your files.

We created the online application to ensure that every proposal is assessed fairly and consistently on its merits. If we determine that your request is aligned with the Foundation’s goals and funds are available, we will contact you.

Application Review & Approval

No. Once you have completed your application, you will receive an email to confirm our receipt of your application. You will continue to receive emails updating you on the status of your application.

We have adopted an online application process to ensure that ALL requests are reviewed against our community guidelines. By using an online application, we ensure that all requests are reviewed, evaluated and responded to in a timely manner.

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. A follow-up email will be sent to you within two to four weeks to notify you of the status of your application. And within 90 days of your application submission, a decision will be communicated to you.

Technical Support

Yes. When you start your application, you will be assigned a Login ID and Password. Please record these immediately. You MUST have your Login ID and Password in order to return to your application at a later date. Without them, you won’t be able to access your saved application.

To save your application, click “Save Changes” at the top of the application. All information entered will be saved. However, if you exit the form or your browser closes before you click “Save changes”, some information may be lost.

To continue your saved online application, open the application, enter your Login ID and Password and click “Resume Saved Application”. This will open your saved application.

Unfortunately no. You’ll need to start a new application from the beginning. The system randomly generates Login IDs and Passwords, and can’t retrieve them.

No. Open the application and click on “Begin new application”. The system will erase your original application.

Privacy & Other Questions

Yes. The information provided in your application will remain confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than the assessment of your application by the Honda Canada Foundation. The database where your information is stored is password protected and secure.

If you still have questions or wish to share feedback, please submit a support request. Explain the situation clearly, so we can respond appropriately. Our technical support staff will contact you within one business day.

Honda takes security very seriously and will never contact you by email, text or phone asking for your personal information or your lease or loan account details. If you receive a suspicious communication, please report the activity by contacting Honda Canada at 1-888-9-HONDA-9, and contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre by visiting https://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/, where additional ways to protect yourself from phishing emails can also be found.
